Simple! Just add the honey in a moderate amount of water so that it covers your whole hair nicely but does not drip. Now apply it to your whole hair. Scalp. Roots, end, body, nothing should be spared. If needed then damp your hair beforehand a bit. It will make the application easy and will also help honey to get soaked in.

Tie up hair in a bun. Not too tight. Wait for 30-40 minutes for it to work its magic. Meanwhile, do what you want to do. If your hair is too dry and damaged with brittle ends, breakage, and flyaways better wait for an hour. As you have to wait for a long time, making sure the mask does not start dripping off your face, neck, and back. It will be so disgusting then. Consider using a shower cap.

Use lukewarm water to wash off the hair. You can shampoo too if you want. Just make sure you have taken out the last drop of honey from your hair also ears, neck and anywhere else. If it stays behind, you will have lots of discomfort and even bugs like ant, fly, or cockroach can get attracted to you. You will be their walking flower nectar.

Ingredients:

  • 10Tbsp raw honey
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • Water (optional)

Benefits of other ingredients:

Before anything, apple cider vinegar is my favorite toner, conditioner, and anti-aging agent. It is that good! Your hair will be clean from dirt and germs, its acidity will maintain the pH level, thus making hair super soft, manageable and frizz-free. It will smooth away each strand. It seals each follicle and cuticles too give hair root strength. You will notice a nice healthy shine that will last long. In short, your next favorite item.

The way to do it:

Add the vinegar in honey and apply it on hair like applying shampoo. Using fingers, gentle stroke that goes straight horizontally not in circles. If not then the circular motion will make the hair get tangled up in knots and do more damage. Do not touch nails to the scalp. It will scratch and make the roots weak.

Vinegar is very strong and acidic you may suffer burning sensation and eyes may sting too. Add water to dilute the vinegar and make it more bearable. Sensitive skins and first-timers must do a patch taste and dilute ACV in water before they become used to it.

Let it sit for 15 minutes and get lukewarm water to rinse it off. Can get a mild shampoo too. Repeat it 3 to 4 times a week until you get results. One more thing about the vinegar is that it has a very strong smell that many including me cannot handle. Diluting handles a lot but you can add rosewater or essential oil too. (Rosewater my next favorite)
